The InterBank Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT+) Forum was formed in 2002. At the outset, it was a network of LGBT+ networks exclusively focused on investment banking. In 2012, InterBank decided to restructure itself beyond investment banking to cover the financial services as well as the professional services industry.

The aims and objectives of InterBank are as follows:
- To create an open and inclusive forum for LGBT+ employees from Financial Services and Professional Service Firms in which to meet and discuss issues impacting LGBT+ employees in their day-to-day work environment.
- To enable the sharing of best practices between the LGBT+ employee network groups (ENGs) of Financial Services and Professional Services firms regarding:
- Recruitment of LGBT+ talent,
- Professional and personal development of LGBT+ employees, and
- How LGBT+ networks can support client engagement and business activity, so as to assist Financial & Professional Service Firms to (a) cultivate an environment that is inclusive and supportive of their LGBT+ employees, and (b) positively value and encourage their ENGs’ activities.
- To provide a forum for developing an appropriate collective response to LGBT+ issues that benefits Financial & Professional Service Firms and reflects positively on these industries’ commitment to the LGBT+ community.
- To promote and encourage networking opportunities for LGBT+ employees of Financial Services and Professional Services Firms.
InterBank organises regular networking evenings for its members at locations in the City and Canary Wharf. It also partners with other networks of networks and forums to deliver relevant events and networking opportunities to its members.
InterBank also supports Corporate and Social Responsibility initiatives, allowing its members to support LGBT+ community initiatives across the Greater London area. We sponsor a special film screening at the London Lesbian and Gay Film Festival/BFI Flare annually. InterBank continues to be a sponsor of Positive East’s Red Run which is held on or around World AIDS Day each year.
Meet our Co-Chairs

Philip Francis, Chartered MCSI (He/Him) – LinkedIn
Philip has over 15 years experience in financial services. He is a Director and Chartered Wealth Manager at UBS where he advises individuals, families, and charities on their investment strategy, governance, and long-term sustainability. He is also a Trustee for Citizens Advice, supporting access to free, independent advice for members of the community who need it most.
A longstanding member of the InterBank LGBT+ Forum, Philip has been active in the network for over 10 years and now serves as Co-Chair. He is also responsible for leading the Forum’s engagement with external partners, strengthening ties across the charity sector, community organisations, and corporate allies. Under his leadership, InterBank has expanded its reach and deepened its impact through cross-sector collaboration, events, and campaigns.
Philip also serves on the UBS Pride & Allies Steering Committee, having previously Chaired the employee resource group, he continues to help drive inclusive culture and strategy across the firm. He regularly attends industry panels and roundtables on inclusive leadership, LGBTQ+ visibility, and the power of authentic networks. He combines a passion for social equity with deep sector knowledge, using his platform to push for meaningful progress both within and beyond financial services.

Marc Caporiccio (He/Him) – LinkedIn
Marc has over 10 years experience in financial services in London, New York, and Toronto. He is a Vice President at Royal Bank of Canada where he manages the Community Impact portfolio for RBC Capital Markets in Europe and drives the firm’s employee volunteer program and community investment strategy as well as major initiatives and campaigns including the RBC Race for the Kids, RBC Charity Day, and RBC Celebration of Impact. He is also a member of the firm’s PRIDE Employee Resource Group leadership team.
Marc has been an active member of the InterBank LGBT+ Forum. In 2025, he led the development and implementation of the inaugural InterBank Proud Futures LGBTQ+ student careers event with Dame Julia Hoggett. He is also part of the Forum’s external partnerships subcommittee.
Marc is also an active player and management committee member for the Berkshire Unicorns RFC, International Gay Rugby UK National Champions and hosts of the annual Unicorn Unity Cup, the UK’s largest inclusive rugby 10s tournament.
